Commercial Hardscaping Services

The hardscape on a commercial property does more work than most people realize. Walkways move foot traffic safely from parking areas to building entries. Retaining walls hold back hillsides and create usable space on sloped lots. Patios and plazas give employees and visitors a reason to step outside. Steps and ramps provide accessible transitions between grade changes. And all of it — every paver, every stone, every square foot of concrete — has to look professional, perform under heavy use, and hold up through decades of Cincinnati weather.

Tepe Landscape & Design Group designs and installs commercial hardscapes across Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Eastern Indiana. We bring the same design precision and material expertise to a corporate campus walkway that we bring to a custom residential patio — because the engineering principles are identical, the materials are the same, and the consequences of doing it wrong are even higher when hundreds of people use the surface every day.

Why Choose Tepe Landscape & Design Group?

We're a design-build firm, not a paving contractor. That distinction matters on commercial projects because hardscapes don't exist in isolation, they connect to landscaping, irrigation systems, lighting, and drainage infrastructure.

  • Site assessment We evaluate existing conditions — soil type, grade, drainage patterns, utility locations, traffic patterns
  • Design & Planning Our design team develop plans that address both aesthetics and engineering. Material selections, patterns, grading, and drainage are all specified before construction begins.
  • Permitting & Engineering Retaining walls over four feet, ADA-compliant routes, and stormwater management features all require permits and, in many cases, stamped engineering drawings.
  • Construction Our in-house hardscape crews handle excavation, base preparation, drainage installation, wall construction, paver installation, and finishing.
  • Integration While hardscape construction is underway, landscape, irrigation, and lighting work is coordinated to avoid conflicts and rework.

Hardscaping Materials Built for Commercial Use

Higher foot traffic, heavier loads, maintenance equipment, salt exposure, and the expectation that surfaces will look good for decades — not just years. Material selection matters, and we specify products that are built for these conditions.

Concrete Pavers: Products from Unilock, Belgard, Techo-Bloc, and Reading Rock offer commercial-rated compressive strength, consistent color, and interlocking joint systems that distribute loads and resist shifting.

Natural stone: Indiana limestone, bluestone, flagstone, and granite provide a premium aesthetic for high-visibility entries, plazas, and feature walls.

Manufactured block wall systems: Allan Block, Versa-Lok, and similar engineered wall systems provide structural performance with consistent aesthetics. These systems are designed for commercial retaining wall applications, with geogrid reinforcement, positive drainage, and engineering certification for walls of significant height.

Stamped and decorative concrete: For large-area commercial applications where pavers aren’t practical, stamped concrete provides the visual interest of stone or brick at a different price point.
